The SHE movement was born from a powerful encounter between Brazilian indigenous leader Shirley Krenak and artistic leaders Masja & Hans Plompenheim, right in the heart of Ruigoord. Together, they envisioned a future where joy and balance coexist – a future rooted in indigenous wisdom, spreading across the West and the world. Masja, inspired by this vision, turned to Laurien SHE Snowapple to manifest the idea and gather musicians who could bring this mission to life.
In 2023, they held their first residency at Landjuweel, a transformative moment where the seed of SHE was planted and everything grew organically into what it is today. This was the moment when the core group took shape – Celine, Maartje, Chynthia, and Cheryl Angel – each contributing their unique magic to this movement.
Together, they’re building a movement where SHE can grow and grow, embracing everyone who wants to be part of this beautiful, transformative journey, and with our epic centre at Casa Poëtica in Ruigoord.
You can find them on the streets, in theaters, near polluted waters, in historical and special music venues around the world, in the wilderness, and at festivals. SHE will be there dancing, singing, walking in a parade, and telling the facts about nature and humanity that SHE wants to create awareness of.
