The Natural Wild as a Space of Change and Becoming

From January 20 to February 2, 2025, the fifth literary residency at the feminist, multidisciplinary artist house Casa Snowapple Mx will take place.

Seven acclaimed writers of recognized talent are brought together from within Mexico and different countries around the world to live and write under the same roof for a short, intense two-week period. This International Writers Residency brings together feminist writers with an activist outlook and a taste for literary experimentation. The aim is to spark dialogue and recognition, and to help build lasting connections across borders. The Casa has a soft spot for alternative / speculative fiction and literary investigations into the human ties to wild. Participants often explore questions of belonging, womanhood and queer / trans identities in their work. The upcoming Residency investigates these themes in connection to the idea of nature and natural history as a space of art and activism.
