Over Snowapple Collective

Snowapple Collective is dedicated to creating unique and bold art with a commitment to inclusivity and women’s empowerment, using imagination to envision more equal and compassionate worlds. Our work often sheds light on social issues in striking, theatrical, and musical ways. For instance, in Mexico, we contribute to the feminist movement through Casa Snowapple Mx, a women-led initiative, offering residencies to local and international artists, performers, and creatives. These laboratories and residencies are centred around bi-annual themes, such as Cyborg Experiments (2023-2024) and Wilderness (2025-2026).

Throughout the years, Snowapple has released numerous albums, poetry books, and other artistic works. Utopia, our most recent record, draws inspiration from icons such as Laurie Anderson and David Bowie, and explores raw human emotions and the invisible threads that connect us. Our journey has brought us to stages worldwide, from Japan to Russia, Turkey to Mexico, and beyond. Our music has been featured on stations like BBC Radio 1 and international television. Our theater production Cyborg Experiment #1 has earned several awards, including best sound and music creation at the Lauriers du Théâtre Indépendant awards. A Moonless Night, our all-encompassing art-film, has been screened in prominent cinemas in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Mexico.

Currently, we are working on the SHE project, a powerful collaboration with the artist village of Ruigoord and indigenous leaders Shirley Krenak (Brazil) and Cheryl Angel (Lakota), to elevate voices and awareness around climate and social justice, through the artistry of remarkable women worldwide. We are also developing new music and theater through residencies and artistic collaborations under the Wilderness theme.
