Snowapple Collective releases I, Cyborg (single and music video) 5 June

I, Cyborg features dark atmospheres, experimental sounds, and thought-provoking lyrics, representing a transformative milestone for Snowapple and offering listeners a truly immersive experience that transcends genres. I, Cyborg takes inspiration from Donna Haraway’s Cyborg Manifesto, delivering deeply political and disruptive lyrics that challenge traditional notions of gender while exploring the intricate relationship between animals and machines.

Accompanying the single is a visually stunning art-video that fuses contemporary dance and futuristic film. Set in a post-apocalyptic environment, the video portrays two beings attached to abandoned machines, raising questions about their existence and the fine line between survival and enslavement.

The release of I, Cyborg also marks the beginning of Snowapple’s groundbreaking program of yearly themes, with this year’s theme being “Cyborg Experiments.” This thematic exploration has inspired the creation of an entire album, set to be released in 2024, with I, Cyborg as its first single.
